I managed to lay my mitts on some Gerstley Borate, by luring Veronica
Shelford of the list to our sunny shores.
So now I have a Floating Blue that makes me sing to my pots as they
exit the kiln (seems Joyce Lee who dances with hers and I should form
a duo)
Gerstley might cause hassels to some but my my MY it is luverly
stuff! I have been drooling over lovely spitty spot blues and not
achieving them with local products, so I am all for 'cultural'
exchanges!
So we made pots and laughed and did a 9000km road trip and laughed
and took reams of pics and laughed, saw top local potters work and
drooled.Keep an eye on Veronica's web
page for pics of the trip.
I realised anew that while some parts of the world might be as
beautiful as this crazy, sunny country of ours there is none that can
lay claim to being more beautiful.

Shelfords, haste ye back!
