For the teachers on the list: Has anyone found an interesting use of the
computer in a ceramics class of middle school students? I am aware of the use
of glaze calculations, etc. This is not my interest for my students. I have
the opportunity to put a computer in the classroom.....just wondering Thank
you.

I'm not a teacher, but I'm my professor's student assistant and I came
up with an interesting way to incorporate computers in the ceramic
classroom: what I did is began the "Internet Potter of the Week"...I
started the process by posting the web address to a potter, with a
printout of their resume...then I put another student in charge of finding
one for the next, another for the next and so on and so on...interesting
thing is it really got the students involved with searching for
potters/pottery ideas over the internet and every Monday the students came
in, anxious to see who the Potter of the Week for that week was. Thought
I'd just share what I introduced to our classes.... :), cookie
