The archives have me licked. Won't cough up the info. Can anyone
remind me how much epsom salt should be mixed with how much water to
use as flocculant for 5 gals. of glaze?
Thanks.

2 tablespoons per gallon(canadian)
was taught to me many years ago.
A small amount of hot water should be used
and the mixture poured slowly in the glaze while stirring.
Only add the mixture when your sure you dont have to add
any other material because if you mix the glaze after you have added
epsom salt you will end up with lots of gas.If by error you get gas you
will have to wash your glaze batch as you do for washing wood ash(5 times)
It happened to me many years ago and i still remember

Berry, at the Ceramtec conference I was informed that an ideal flocculant
would be a mixture of 30 CMC, 50 V gum T, 20 Epsom salts (by weight) added
to glaze up to .5% of the total weight of dry glaze. Best to add as a
liquid by pre-blending with water. Nils Lou
