Jane Woodside on fri 5 jun 98

I will be visiting Pueblo Colorado for a week in September and if my inlaws
don't keep me too busy, where might I find pottery related entertainment
within an hour or two driving time? I am afraid an entire week away from my
studio will have me pulling my hair out and talking to myself. Thanks!
Jane Woodside in San Francisco where the weather could not be better!

Jane-
sorry for the delay but we've been busy & away from clayart for a few
days.
You and all other clayart folks are in luck.
September 12th & 13th (Saturday and Sunday) are the dates for the 15th
annual UVAPAPA, a celebration & party built around raku glaze firing
with MUCH MORE.
Raku Clay has been donated by Mile Hi Ceramics and Raku Glazes have been
donated by Laguna. THANK YOU!
WHAT"S HAPPENING AT UVAPAPA: All weekend long there will be raku firing,
so bring your raku clay bisqued ware and join in. Raku firing will
begin early Saturday morning and continue until Sunday afternoon.
Saguache Gallery & Espresso will serve great latte, cappuccino and
espresso drinks all weekend. There is a world record pot luck the
starts promptly at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, so bring a ready to eat dish
as refrigerators and cooking facilities are limited. Amber's famous
french toast will be provided Sunday morning. (For all other meals you
are on your own.) After the pot luck, raku firing will continue into
the night with an appearance by Mr. Bones, wonderful music and dancing
to the music of the JOHN STONE BAND & the UVAPAPA all-stars. Sometime
during the evening Neil Seitz will put on a REAL fireworks show. At
Nonn on Sunday more music will be provided by Phil Volan, Lyn Akers and
Joe Uvegas.
UVAPAPA is a great - mellow - sharing - fun event which should be on
every potter's don't miss list!
