Hi Melissa, Tom and all,
Regarding requests for quality workshops in warm places during the
winter, here is an answer. I am in the process of collaborating with
the architects to redesign and rebuild the ceramics and sculpture
studios at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. It is
going to be a world class facility!!! I have just made a verbal
committment to become the head of the ceramics department. In addition
to regular eight week classes, we will offer a series of winter
workshops and master classes. If you have thoughts about who you might
like to study with in sunny south Florida this winter I am going to
schedule the winter workshops during the next few months, and would love
to hear from you. I would also like to know whether you have a
preference for week-long hands on workshops or weekend lecture/demos.

West Palm Beach is located on the east coast of Florida about 70 miles
north of Miami on Interstate 95. Palm Beach county extends from Boca
Raton to Jupiter and has lots for "significant others" and kids to do
while you are taking a workshop. There are great beaches, art,
historical and children's museums, theatre and concerts, legendary bass
fishing on Lake Okeechobee, ocean fishing, a hundred golf courses,
horses, canoe trips.... eek, I feel like a travel brochure, but it is
truly a great place to be in the winter. West Palm Beach has an
international airport, too.
