Hi:
Any potters from the Kitchener area on the list know of potters
with studios to visit. Visiting my folks this week (leaving tuesday) and
would
like to check out the local scene.
Thanks!!
Regards, Marc (Victoria, B.C.)

Marc - Kitchener is near Waterloo Ont yes? If yes, I think
Waterloo is the site of a relatively new ceramics & glass center/museum
which is supposed to be worth a stop. Perhaps Tom Buck will
pick up your query - he knows. Karen Gringhuis

CHECK OUT THE CANADIAN CLAY AND GLASS GALLERY IN WATERLOO. NOT
ONLY WILL YOU SEE CLAY AND GLASS WORK FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY, BUT YOU SHOULD
BE ABLE TO GET A FINE LIST OF POTTERS IN THE KITCHENER/WATERLOO AREA AS WELL.
ENJOY!

Check out Pinecroft Pottery in Aylmer, Ontario (west of Kitchener along
the 401 highway). Exit Aylmer. You would need to get further
directions once you arrive. (unless anyone else would like to share the
directions and or phone number for when you arrive). There is also a
Pottery Supply store called "S&S Pottery Supplies"
Telephone (519)743-4252
Address 5B Paulander Drive, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada N2M 5B6. This
is a second location for the Pottery Supply House in Oakville, Ontario.
(east of Kitchener and closer to Toronto)
S & S Pottery could probably give you directions as well for local
potters and their local Guild.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

Sharon

P.S. I don't know how far you would like to drive out of the Kitchener
area, but there are a few members of my local Guild in London, Ontario
you might be interested in seeing. You can write directly if you are
interested.

Marc:
The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery is located at 25 Caroline Street
North, Waterloo, Ontario N2L 2Y5 (519-746-1882, FAX 746-6396). There is
a beautiful Gallery Shop with clay & glass from across Canada, also the
main gallery has a show. It's worth stopping to take a look.
