Can anyone provide me a source for plans to build a slab roller? They don't
look very complicated and I have access to rollers, however, rather than trial
and error I hope someone might help me avoid problems from trying to
oversimplify something that needs more attention to certain details I might be
overlooking.

Hi Chip,
I recently borrowed a book from our public library by George and Nancy
Wettlaufer titled **Getting into Pots**
that had very complete plans to build a slabroller. I have not had the
time to build it myself but I paln to next fall.
As I recall, the book is from the early-mid 70's (hence the "groovy" title)
and is probably out of print. If you can't find it I could photocopy the
relevant pages and mail them to you (and anyone else) if you'll send me
your snail-mail address, a business-size SASE and a dollar to defray
copying expenses.
Regards,
Greg

Hey all, Have made the slab roller from the book "Getting into Pots" back in
the 70's. Still have the thing and it is still working great for me. As a
matter of a fact, I sold it to a student, then I moved and had room for it
again and I bought it back. Then I moved my studio, no room for it, sold it to
another student and am now borrowing it back to complete an order. This slab
roller seems it will always be in my life somehow, somewhere........

Hi Sue,
Glad to see a glowing recommendation for this. The only part I've been
having trouble locating are the bushing assemblies that anchor the roller.
Any idea where I might be able to obtain them? Thanks for any help you can
provide.

Sue,
Who is the author of the 70's book "GETTING INTO POTS" in case I decide to
try to find a copy? Thanks!
