Les Manning will use videos and slides to share his first-hand knowledge of
innovative installation and performance art by ceramic artists.
Traditional ceramic art has been criticized as being too static. Creating
a broader environment for these objects by introducing smell, touch and
sound, makes a profound impact on the viewer. Les Manning, a practicing
artists, was also the Program Director of the Ceramic Studio at the Banff
Centre for the Arts from 1974-94.
