Thanks to everyone for their responses regarding the 2 1/2 inch vs 3
inch firebrick question. Interestingly, the dealer was trying to tell
me I didn't need the 3 inch and was really pushing the 2 1/2 (because
they had one in the store). After hearing everyone's responses
overwhelmingly in favor of the 3 inch (with a few exceptions), I ordered
the 3 inch. It will be here at the end of the month.
