CLAY TODAY INTERNATIONAL CERAMIC CENTER
SKAELSKOR DENMARK
It is still possible to join the first KILN BUILDING seminar 17th -31st

August 1998
Leader - Fred Olsen - kiln builder, author and potter.
Program:
The newly established Clay Center's first kiln will be built during the
seminar. It will be a partially cast gas fired kiln, designed by
Fred Olsen. A smaller woodfired kiln is also planned.
The program includes:
Kiln building
Firing techniques and "tricks"
Slides lectures and videos on topics related to kilns and to ceramics in

general
Making own work to be fired in the new kilns
Seminar fee: DKr 2.800
The Clay Center is newly established and the workshop building is in the

process of being converted. At this first workshop we hope and expect
that participants will enter into the spirit of things and appreciate
that all facilities may not yet be operational.
In the future there will be facilities for longer residencies.
The center is located on the edge of the small coastal town of
Skaelskor. One and a half hours by train or car from Copenhagen.
There will be simple accomodation available to participants in the main
building of the center.
