For those with knee pain due to osteoarthritis--
ask your vet about Synvisc (hyaluronan).

My husband has been on the brink of having BOTH knees replaced - he's
lived with constant pain for quite a few years, but has been stalling
the surgery because he's relatively young (55 yr).

2 weeks ago he had the fluid in his worse knee drained and replaced with
the first of 3 shots of Synvisc- a viscous and elastic mixture that
replaces the natural lubrication that is broken down. Since that first
shot my hubby has had no pain in that knee, although his 'control' knee
has ached badly as usual.

In 2 years he'll be able to get another round. This recently approved
treatment is going to have a marked impact on his lifestyle. We are
very very greatful!

Patti

bytheway--
Synvisc is manufactured from hyaluronan that comes from chicken combs.
