Hello Out There...
I'm trying to find out about Majolica stains and have gotten a variety of
opinions---which one to try??? I've been told to use one part stain to one
part of the frit used in the glaze + water; the stain added to the actual
Majolica glaze itself; and one part stain to 4 parts gerstly borate + water.
Can anyone tell me their experiences or offer a different method? I would
greatly appreciate any help!
Dana Henson in Pilot Point, TX where it is hot enough to fire a pot on the
sidewalk.
P.S. I did search the Clayart Archives but I really only found Majolica
glaze recipes---very little information on the stains. Is there another place
that I can research this topic?
