If you have written a web site and successfully put it on the net (using a
Macintosh computer) I would be grateful for your help. What did you use
for a text editor and graphics converter? Thanks, Ken.

Ken,

I am working for a Web Site development company that has to have excellent
tool for what we do. The suite that we use on Macs consists of two Macromedia
Products (DreamWeaver 1.2 and Fireworks.) These are simple to learn at a
basic level and yet will answer the needs of a professional. They are not
the cheapest solution, but they do produce quailty outcomes. In particular,
Fireworks is very good a allowing you to reach the best compromise between
small file sizes and image quailty. You can look at multiple solutions on
the screen at the same time and evaluate which looks the best. DreamWeaver on
the Mac also includes BB Edit as a supplementary.

Hi Ken,

I used Claris Home Page. My photos were taken with a connectix color quickcam
and saved in jpeg format. I find the quality of the images adequate, not
great, but they can be quickly and easily updated by me at home, rather than
having to get professional slides done, scanning, etc. My web page is on the
low-tech side, but works for me.

Claris Home Page is easy to use. Basically, if you can use a work processor,
you can use Claris home page. The hard part is uploading the data to the web.
