I've had a few problems with the glue down type collars for lotion/soap
dispensers,(I've used a product called Goop with quite a bit of
success),but its the few that don't stay on that I'm concerned with.So I
would like to try the make your own collar from a mold that Axner sells.
Has anyone had any luck with these, and how does it work as far as clay
shrinkage for fitting the collars to the pumps themselves? The clay I'm
using is B-Mix 5, firing to cone 5/6.

Janette, I have made lotion pumps for some years now and after trying several
types of glue found that E-6000 from Axner supply works great. Make sure that
you do not glaze the small area at the top of the ceramic piece so that the
glue will stick. I have had no returns using this type of glue.
