A suggestion for those knowledgeable potters with a sense of humour -
(that's pretty well all of us, of course.)
How about writing "Glaze calculation for Dummies?" You already know what
kind of cover it will have. Then you just have to make up a story about
glassy stuff, aggressive little anti-establishment melters, sticky stuff,
etc etc.
I'm sure it will be even more popular than "Chicken soup for the Struggling
Potter Whose kiln Won't Reach Temperature and Other Disasters."
I'm half serious. I waded through a Finances for Dummies last winter, under
the impression that I understood it at the time. It seems like a winning
format for topics that are loaded with terminology. Why not? Someone?

actually this is a great idea and I have somewhat tried to do something
like it with my ceramic glaze book that i print on demand.
i may make some changes in this book and make a second edition

It's such a delightfully obvious thing that, of course, no one's been able to
think of it 'til now! I'm sure most ClayArters would have SOMETHING to input
somewhere. I'd like to see it.
