Here is a low-fire clear glaze recipe that I have used on a number of
different white earthenware bodies and always had a good fit.
Low-fire clear, cone 04
ferro frit 3134 60
OM4 ball clay 40
This glaze works best when sprayed on or otherwise applied thinly.
As a base glaze I've also had good results with the following glaze from the
Potter's Palette book. I've only mixed it with colorants, but you might want
to try and see if it makes a good clear.
Potter's Palette Alkaline, cone 04
Pemco frit 311 (or Ferro 3124) 75
Epk 15
Flint 10
