Toni,
I have found that most any copper glaze will give you deep reds in raku if you
reduce moderately for about 15-30 minutes once the glaze has reached maturity.
You shopuld see flame and a swirling motion in the kiln chamber and there
should be flames coming from the flue with just a hint of smoke. Correct
moderate reduction will soak the glaze, that is, the temperature will not rise
or fall. Remove your ware from the kiln and casually ( not too heavy or
quickly otherwise copper reds may develop) reduce in sawdust or wood shavings,
or what have you.
