-------------------
When hard fire bricks are drenched from a down pour, how long must one wait =
till
they're safe to fire with? In other words, whats a rough drying time, =
assuming
no major humidity problem, before using as a base for a raku kiln? Won't =
they
explode if they're too wet? Anyone had this experience? What about getting=
the
ceramic fiber kiln cage wet also? I've heard to get it wet is a no-no...any
comments? Figured fore warned is fore armed=21

Thanks...

I don't think it's an issue of how long to wait, but not to heat them too
fast. You can dry them out with your pilot lites or your burners, just give
the water a chance to come out before getting too hot.
