Hi Russell,
The results about using ITC coating on electric elements, in my opinion,
are inconclusive.
Oxidizing your elements will give you just as much benefit. Again,
qualified as my opinion.
The procedure is as follows:
For kilns used at elevated temperature or under reducing or corrosive
conditions, we recommend that elements be pre-oxidized by firing an empty
kiln to 1050`C (1922`F).
Hold that temperature for about 8 hours with the peep holes wide open & lid
raised slightly to ensure thorough oxidization of the elements. If you are
using a kiln vent keep it on during this process.
This way is affordable & proven to extend the life of elements.
