I am hunting for a cone 04 glaze that resembles leather in color. I would
prefer that it be matte but will settle for anything of that color. thanks
to any.

I think you are looking for what we all are looking for
the closest thing that I think you can come to it, is a terra sigellata that
has some mineral oil on it
I would be interested to hear other opionions on this

I have never come across a finish that looks more like leather than a redart
terra sig, especially if you prepare the surface to look like wrinkled
leather before applying the sig. Cone 04 is in the right range for this
finish. You can access my explanation of terra sig on Tony Hansen's IMC
webpage at http://digitalfire.com/education/glaze/terasig.htm
