Dear Clayartists,
Having sent about 20 underglaze/ stain recipes from the January 1952
issue of Ceramics Industry, several people are now asking me if firing
temperatures were stipulated. These were not, however, in my opinion the
magazine would probably have chosen recipes for underglazes that can be
used over a wide range of temperatures. I believe this is considered to
be on of the indications of a good underglaze or stain.
