Ceramic Design Group LTD in conjunction with Colorado Mountain College,
Alpine Campus, The Colorado Mountain College Foundation for Excellence in
the Arts, and The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is pleased to present our
series of visiting artist workshops for the 1998-1999 academic year.

This program, entitled "Future Primitive:Contemporary Ceramics at the
Millennium" features
nationally recognized ceramic artists in a participatory workshop
environment. These featured artists explore primitive ceramic techniques in
a contemporary vernacular. Using many and varied processes such as raku,
colored clays, sigillatas, vapor/luster glazes, gold leaf and other surface
and form embellishments, this select group of artists will exposed workshop
participants to cutting edge process and vocabulary that push the
boundaries of both our understanding and perception of ceramics as an art
form.
