a matt majolica

I'm on the prowl for a majolica recipe that is on the matt side of the
spectrum. It was suggested to me that I try doubling the EPK in Linda
Arbuckel's recipe, which is what I use. If someone has any other
information that would be worth testing along side my first lead I would
really appreciate it.
Thanks, Erin

Hi Erin,

Add enough Tin or zirconium silicat (zircopax, superpax etc.) to any glaze
and it will get matt. - RR

Does this work for Cone 6 glazes too? Or is it just a 04 situation?

As far as I know it will work at any cone we fire at - It does have a
stiffening affect on glazes and the zirconium silicats are said to increase
durability as well.
