Sure are a lot of people doin' clay in Manhattan!

This is the list I was working from. Thanks Frank Martin, Gil Freedman, Jane
Aebersold, Lois Rueben Aronow, Keith Chervenak, Frank Gaydos, Karen G. (you
were right!) and everyone else.

I didn't end up working anywhere although I still think it would have been
possible, spent much of my time just LOOKIN' and talkin' (see above note to
Karen.). But I did make some pinch pots with Rusty Riegelman.

I didn't get through the whole list and some of it's from the Yellow pages
and unchecked.

Saw a great exhibition at Dai Ichi of pots by Okazaki Takao and Charley
Callas and bought a wonderful sake bottle from Okazaki. Garth Clark had some
of Georges Jeanclos' beautiful figures and the American Craft Museum had a
great exhibition of Canadian Craft with some terrific large bowls by Steve
Heinemann

Most museums and galleries are closed on Mondays!

Russel - NO ONE ever gets through their list of places to go, people
to see! But I am SAVING yours for when I get there in the Spring.
Thank you very much for sharing it and am glad you had such a
good time. We wouldn't want to pay the rent there or meet the
zoning code for a kiln but there's no place like it. You left
out any good &/or cheap restaruant tips? Karen Gringhuis

The East Village has so many Japanese restaurants now that you'd think it
was Japan Town! We counted over twenty in a short stroll. And the
restaurant/bar "Windows On the World" on the 107th floor of the World Trade
Center has surprisingly good food! A bit expensive but not really,
considering the view!

God grant me the Senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
The good fortune to run into the ones I do
And the eyesight to tell the difference.
