Hi all,
Yes, this subject has been exhausted ad nauseum, but I wanted to share the
most concise view I have found on the subject. While studying at Wenford
Bridge Pottery, St. Breward, Bodmin, Cornwall, UK, I found the following
among Michael Cardew's notes: "Craft is admirable, while Art is enviable."
I have used that distinction ever since.

if the term Craftsman bothers you... then use this definition.. "A Craftsman
is an artist ...with skill....!!" ..

There are only a few things I hate being called.

-CRAFTER
-vendor
-artesian
-late for dinner
-timmy

I guess there are more than I thought -
never mind

-Tim
