having taught for years in a school with 22 wheels, i would say the only wheel
that i did not have to repair is the brent model c.
just rebuilt an old one, and installed a new motor, head, shaft and
electronics.
so it is brand new......but it was 19 years old.
i could take the shimpo's apart blindfolded, cuzz i did it so often.
like field stripping a rifle in combat.
the pacifica is the smoothest wheel around, but a bad foot control, i believe
they have fixed that.
i think the new lockerbie sit down small electric is as smooth as it gets now,
and the soldner is the mercedes, but expensive, and you need to make a great
many pots a day to make it worth your while.
so there.
my opinion.
would never buy another shimpo, but some just love them.
