Our safety officer recommended a "sticky mat" to be placed before the door
to the hallway: It is a pile of sticky plastic sheets, which are peeled
off one at a time as they become saturated with clay - they have been
marvelous at keeping the unavoidable dust of the studio off the carpet in
the rest of the school. Unfortunately, I don't know the specifics - the
safety officer is on leave and I can't find a brand name on the mat. A
safety supply should at least know what you are talking about, however. We
mop and mop, but that dark carpet proves that it isn't good enough!
