crystaline glazes@10 reduction

I wrote last week about a series of tests I've been doing to develop
crystaline glazes that will fit into a standard reduction firing. I have
had some interesting responses and saw a great web site of finished work,
but not too much to go on. Since the subject of 'bonehead' has been current
I have always thought that it was a bit of a bone head move to try and
invent glazes from scratch with a limited amount to go on, when it has all
been done before and exists if you know where to look for it....So could
somebody throw me a bone?
I am working to develop a fairly fluid surface take I can decorate over
top of with secondary applications of glaze with the dea that the crystals
may develop in the background. ow of course when I finally figure this out
It may look awful...
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Scott, Have you seen Diane Creber's book on Crystaline Glazes?
Tucker's has it, and probably P.S.H. as well. Cheers, Liz

Hi Scott,
I found this page recently and think you might find it useful.
http://www.barra.se/stoneware/glasyrer/crystal.htm

Lasse Ostman lives and works in Sweden and has a number of crystalline
glazes, as well as others, that he describes pretty accurately. The link
points directly to a page specifically about his work in crystalline
glazes, but you can get to all other parts of his site from there as well.

Good luck!

Marc
