I was going to fire today, but along came No.? typhoon so I decided to put
it off. This has happened several or more times before. My studio is in
no danger of harm because it is surrounded by hills and forests and is
quite a ways from the coast. Still, the winds do get pretty gusty and the
rains very heavy. The kiln is protected. But somehow I feel that because
of the see-saw barometric pressures, I wouldn't be able to get a good
firing. I have nothing to support this idea other than some vague sense of
"It seems reasonable." Am I being "reasonable" or should I just go ahead
and fire?
