Hi,
I've been busy teaching myself that important lesson. Dont
get in a hurry. One of these days I'll learn it so I dont have
to teach it so much.

I have developed 3 glazes that I have mixed up 500g batches
each to test. I dont have anyting in mind with these glazes
other than I'm trying to learn. I'd appreciate any comments
or suggestions as to these glazes. Especially if it looks
like I'm way off base.

all glazes for cone 6

Glaze 1

Custer Feldspar 40.0
Flint 26.0
Nytal Talc 8.0
Gerstley Borate 10.0
Whiting 10.0
EPK 6.0

Glaze 2

Petalite 25.0
Nepheline Syen 30.0
Gerstley Borate 10.0
Flint 17.0
Nytal Talc 8.0
Whiting 10.0

Glaze 3 the reasoning behind this one was to make it as complicated as possibl

Custer Feldspar 40.0
Flint 30.0
Nepheline Syen 3.0
Gerstley Borate 3.0
Lithium Carb 2.0
Strontium Carb 2.0
Whiting 3.0
Rutile 2.0
Bone Ash 3.0
Pearl Ash 3.0
EPK 3.0
Nytal Talc 6.0

I have added no colorants as that isnt really what I'm concerned with for
now. The first 2 glazes have an expansion of 7.03 for glaze #1 and 7.00 for
glaze #2. I hope I did'nt mis-read Tom Buck's answer to another glaze recipe
that 7 was a good target value. I understand the expansion value must match
the body also. I think all three fit the limits if I'm applying them correctly.
