Thanks for the glaze thickness tests mel, I am going to try it.

Also Thanks to Evan for the Floating blue variation. I mixed some up
and tested it (thickly) and it seems to work better. More variation and
definitely more blue.

One thing I have noticed in my experiments which so far have included
many clear transparents with 1-2% addition of colorants is the
following:

I am using these glazes on tiles with various impressions. After
firing, the impressions will be a dark reflection of the glaze,
basically an outline. Probably a stupid question, but if I want it to
be all the same color do I need to use a matte glaze? I remember at the
local pottery when I used the celadon in their gas kiln, even the
impression was the same color as the rest of the tile. I know I can't
do celadon in my Electric kiln, but what adjustments must I make?
