Let's just assume that I have access to a wonderful old warehouse space near
downtown Dallas that has a three story rise, mostly constructed of brick and
thousands of windows.
Let's also assume that I want to invite every potter/clay sculptor/ mozaics
person in the North America's to participate in a jurried show that will be
exhibited in the summer of 1999 from June through August.
Now that is all I have, a space and an idea.
Now I'd like to hear some response as to problems, and some good ideas on
logistics of putting a show like this together.

I think it sounds like a wonderful idea...and lots of organizational work. Do
you know enough local potters who can help with mailings, advertising, making
display space? Is the warehouse in good shape or would it have to be painted?
Could you get hold of lots of plywood and a carpenter to make display
pedestals..and how about lighting?
Then you'd need someone to receive and return all the work.....
Think about it!

I will take any and all suggestions, put them in a format for organizing and
hopefully go for it.
Does any one have suggestions on getting corporate support, like in a tax
deduction?

Great idea! I see no problem in putting together the show you speak of
except for one very important thing. If the space is not air conditioned
it won't fly in the summer in Dallas. Fall can be lovely however...
