Thanks, Edoaurd, I do not have the data from individual mines. I knew the
Quebec ilmenite mine was a huge deposit but I am surprised that the grade
is that low. But since it all goes to a Quebec processing
complex/facility, producing rutile, TiO2, and iron byproducts, it is very
unlikely that potters anywhere will encounter such a low-grade ilmenite,
which behaves (in colourant terms) more like an iron oxide material.
For reliable results from Titanium materials, one should prefer
Titanium Dioxide pigment grade, or a rutile material of known analysis.
