I'm using a clear - 04 - composed of (80)3124, (10)neph sy, (10)EPK and
(3)bentonite. I use it on decorated tiles. It doesn't fire really clear =
until I
fire it twice. grr. I have a controller and kiln vent and my cones show I =
reach
temperature. I ramp down 50 degrees and hold 15 minutes then cool 500 =
degrees
per hour for 1000 degrees. Am I cooling too slowly and crystallizing the =
glaze?
Is that a possibility in low fire? Should I fire to 03? I would much =
appreciate
hearing from the vast experience of my tribe. There is no end to my =
