This past weekend Mel, I and a few others returned to Hay Creek for a
weekend get together and firing. Upon opening the modular fiber kiln,
which had been closed up since June, we found mice had attacked the
fiber on the door. This was not unusual as we've had mice eat or tear
away at ceramic fiber blanket stored in the barn and in other
applications in then outdoor kiln shelter.
The surprising fact was that mice attack stopped at the point where ITC
had NOT been sprayed. (Only that part of the door module subjected to
the direct internal fire/heat of the kiln was sprayed.) Thus we have
discovered another great property of ITC - mouse resistance!
