POTTERY TOUR

TERMS AND CONDITIONS



COST

The tour cost is $2075, based on a minimum of 20 tour members.

The price is per person and there is no additional charge for

Single travelers. Rates are based on exchange rate in effect on
January1,

1999 and are subject to change due to variations in the exchange rate.


AIR FARES

Included in the price of the tour. U.S. Transportation taxes are also
included; however, airport departure taxes are additional and will be
paid by the traveler at time of departure to the airport authorities.
Tour members not utilizing the group's air reservations will receive a
credit of $750


INCLUDED IN TOUR COST

The land tour cost includes all nights in Japan as shown on the
itinerary using accommodations at the Canadian Academy, dorm style
lodging; roundtrip transfers between the airport and the academy;
ground transportation by private motorcoach; sightseeing per itinerary
and the services of two escorts throughout the entire itinerary; costs
of planning and administration of the tour.


NOT INCLUDED IN TOUR COST

The tour cost does not include any meals or features not specifically
listed, any optional tours or admissions, any items of a personal
nature such as laundry or telephone calls, passport costs, gratuities
to coach driver or local guides, anything else not specifically
included above. DeAnza College class registration is not included in
the tour cost and all participants must register for "Arts 91" The
Artist on Location summer quarter 1999.


RESERVATIONS

A deposit of $250.00 reserves your place on the tour. Your deposit
assures that we can guarantee tour arrangements

Final payment of the balance on the tour cost is due no later than May
15, 1999.


CANCELLATION, PENALTIES

In case you must cancel prior to departure of the tour, the following
penalties apply. If you cancel


90 days or more prior to departure 25.00

60 - 89 days or more prior to departure 150.00

30 - 59 days prior to departure 25% of the tour price

15 - 30 days prior to departure 50% of the tour price

0 - 14 days prior to departure day 100% of the tour price


If the tour is canceled by the tour operator or Ligtelyn Travel
Counselors Inc., all payments are fully refundable.


INSURANCE

Ligtelyn Travel Counselor, Inc., recommends you obtain trip
cancellation insurance to protect against loss of deposits and other
trip payments if you must cancel due to unforeseeable sickness, injury
or death of yourself, a family member, your traveling companion or your
companion's family member--excluding conditions for which medical
treatment has been received within 60 days prior to the policy date.
This insurance will also provide reimbursement of non-refundable tour
expenses if it is necessary to interrupt or terminate while on tour,
due to illness or death. In addition, we offer medical emergency,
accidental death and baggage insurance. It is important for your own
self-interest and protection to make certain that you have adequate
insurance coverage. Please review the insurance application provided
with this form, and ask for clarification of coverage you do not
understand. If you do not wish to purchase insurance, you will be
required to sign a waiver, indicating that such insurance has been
offered and declined.


DOCUMENTS

A valid passport is required for this trip. It is the responsibility
of the tour participant to obtain a passport. However, we will assist
in whatever way possible providing you with necessary forms.
Non-citizens of the US should check with the appropriate Consulates and
US Immigration Service to determine documents needed.





RESPONSIBILITY

Ligtelyn Travel Counselors, Inc., is registered with the Attorney
General of the State of California under the California Seller of
Travel Program. Ligtelyn Travel Counselors Inc acts only as agents
for the suppliers of services (air carriage, hotel and restaurant
accommodations, ground transportation, sightseeing tours, etc.) in
conjunction with this tour, and therefore shall not be responsible for
any damage, injury or loss resulting from any cause or by reason of any
event beyond the control of our office. Nor shall Ligtelyn Travel
Counselors Inc be held responsible for breach of contract of any
careless or intentional damages or losses caused to the traveler in
conjunction with terrorism, strikes, social unrest, mechanical or
construction difficulties, disease, climatic conditions or any other
developments, actions, conditions or omission outside the office's
control. Ligtelyn Travel Counselors Inc reserves the right to accept
or reject any person as a tour member, to expel any person from a tour,
to make changes in the itinerary whenever deemed necessary for the
comfort, convenience and/or safety of tour members and to cancel a tour
at any time. If a tour is canceled for whatever reason, Ligtelyn
Travel Counselors Inc has no responsibility beyond the refund of all
monies paid by tour members.


The standard airline passage contract, when issued, shall constitute
the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of this tour
and/or the passengers. The airlines concerned shall not be held
responsible for any act or omission occurring while the passenger has
disembarked from the aircraft.


By embarking on his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all
risks involved with such travel whether expected or unexpected and is
hereby warned of such risks and advised to obtain appropriate insurance
coverage. The acceptance of tickets, vouchers or other tour documents
indicates the passenger's agreement to these conditions.
