Many of you may be interested in the latest news from Elvira Peake at The Clay
Place concerning the Exhibition to Benefit Karen and Ann's Fire Fund.
As of last evening (another pot arrived yesterday!), 187 donations have been
received. About half have sold for a total of just under $8000.
The show is supposed to close tomorrow, but Elvira has decided to extend it
two more weeks.
The question before us now is what to do with the contributions that have not
yet sold. Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.
Elvira does NOT want to lower the prices that the potters have given to their
work, but has considered the possibility of an auction. To return work to
the potter would involve time and expense and would lessen the amount sent to
the Fire Fund.
Email me your thoughts and I will pass them on to Elvira.
Thanks!
