In some glaze and slip recipes passed on to me recently, there is an
ingredient listed as Kentucky Glaze Clay and Kentucky White Glaze clay.
Does anyone have any idea what this is? I've never seen it listed in
catalogs or recipes before. Thanks for any help.

Fred Herbst
Dear ClayArt Readers (and particularly Fred Herbst),
Naturally, I believe that the =22Kentucky Glaze Clay=22 and =22Kentucky =
White Glaze
clay=22 are one in the same. They refer to Old Hickory Clay Company's No.1 =
Glaze
clay. A data sheet for this clay is on the Old Hickory Clay website
( http://www.oldhickoryclay.com/ ) as well as much more information about =
this
family owned clay business. The No. 1 Glaze clay pages are (
http://www.oldhickoryclay.com/glaze.htm ) and (
http://www.oldhickoryclay.com/1glazsp.htm ).
I hope that this information is helpful.
