Any willing hands that want to help build a kiln Oct. 16-18 in Door County
Wisc., should contact George Blair at 1-800-367-6224. It's a good chance to get
hands on experience and help out a fellow potter. No experience necessary.
George is helping his long time buddy and 25 year potter Wally Wold (of DeKalb,
IL fame) rebuild the kiln moved from IL. (George is an old time potter too,
whom some of you may know). Wally runs Wold Pottery/Starry Night Gallery near
Ellison Bay WI.
If you go, while you're there, stop in and see Abe Cohn's new car kiln which
goes up this weekend. It'll be a 25 cu. ft. stackable MFT. If you haven't
stopped by Abe and Ginka's shop "The Potter's Wheel" in Fish Creek, you missed a
great treat.
There are also another half dozen potters on the peninsula to visit.
