kiln paper

Glass-slumping people use a thin kind of "felt" of kaowool that protects
the item from the shelf or mold. Kinda reusable but not reliably. Now so
far I have found this stuff at a reasonable price only at one source which
is ED HOY in Illinois and I am waiting for their catalog.
Every place else the price is exorbitant. So of course I am thinking why
isn't this stuff in our catalogs? Wouldn't potters who use porcelain or
who just want to stuff messy stuff into the kiln withour extra worries just
love to get their paws on it?

Now the deal is not to encourage our suppliers to sell it in small pieces
at exorbitant prices too but to make whole rolls available just like other
kaowool products.

This is an appeal to you suppliers to give this some thought and for
interested potential customers to start asking about it. I will get back
about more pricing news more specifically when I think I have the whole
picture. I would also contemplate a group order of these rolls from ED HOY
as they have a high minimum. A roll is 2' x 250' .

Before you order a roll, get an MSDS sheet and read it.
