Does anyone have experience of increased mineral concentration from
recycling clay from one's trimings, throwing water and hand washing water
affecting a clay body and possibly being a cause of lime popping. I live in
a hard water area.

The occasional lime popping problems I had back in my youth was due to
sloppyness and plaster bats. The plaster bats are still good but I'm
more careful about little bits of plaster getting into the re-cycle
clay. May be a bonehead problem with my youth.

I intended sending the full unedited article THE LIME POPPING DEBATE as it
appeared in CPA News earlier this year, but after exchanging e-mails with =
Liz
Gale, the editor, I have a problem.
She would allow this as long as I say CPA (Craft Potters Association of =
Great
Britain) holds the copyright and I get written permission from all the =
authors.
As this would take quite a bit of time and I do not know how to contact at =
least
one, it seems more bother than it is worth.
However, I have TYPED the whole darn thing and anyone who would like this
information is welcome to it off list. I have sent it to Alisa (DK), Ray =
(AUS),
Bob (EIRE) and a couple of others, who have mentioned certain manufacturers =
by
name. It is long and divided into three e-mails for easy digestion=21
Sorry about this, but I did not want to =22publish=22 without permission... =
What you
get for wanting to do right?
