Connie -
I wish I could be there. I found Linda's work at the Hui No'eau Visual Arts
Centre on Maui and was "blown away".
Linda came with 23 other women to Nanaimo to fire the anagama kiln at our
Tozan site last year. It was a magnificent firing and many of us men were
sorry we were not able to participate. Hopefully she will come back again.
Linda also gave a one day workshop in Richmond, B.C. which I was able to go
to. As before I was blown away with her skill as a potter and her knowledge
and wit were just amazing.
Those in your area that miss going to see Linda work will be very sorry.
Good luck with your workshop and best regards from us up here on Vancouver
Island.

We still have some spaces left for the Linda Christianson workshop.
Where: In Pennsylvania at the Lancaster Museum of Art.
When: April 7 9am-4pm
Cost: $50
Linda will be demonstrating throwing and altering on a treadle wheel, which
she prefers to others. People have reported that she does a great
demonstration, is very humble and sweet and eager to share anything she can
with the group.
The opening of the Strictly Functional Pottery Workshop will be the day
before the workshop from 5pm to 8pm. After the opening, Linda will give a
slide presentation of her work. This is open to the public, free of charge.
We have been unpacking the pots that have arrived (58 unpacked so far) and
it is going to be a terrific exhibition. Linda did a great job of selecting
135 pieces for this show. All kinds of clay, firing ranges and firing types
will be in the show. She will select the award winners next week from the
actual pieces.
If you want to attend the workshop, send your check for $50 to:
Market House Craft Center
