I'm a little behind with Clayart, but recently someone requested a low fire
matt glaze to use in their classroom on terra cotta. Here's a recipe that I
got from Clayart a while back. I think Vince submitted it.
Rice's Satin, cone 04, electric
Gerstley Borate 38
Lithium Carbonate 10
Neph. Syn. 5
EPK 5
Flint 42
add:
Chrome Oxide - 2%, for green
Cobalt Carbonate - 2%, for blue
I just tested these glazes and didn't mix up large batches of them. I'm sure
you could experiment and come up with lots of other colors. Hope this helps.
