To the discussion of adding stains and colorant I would like to add my
(newbie) two cents. For majollica I recommend following Erin's gerstly
Borate advice. To color an entire glaze I recommend testing different
percentages before "mixing it in and going at it". Some colorants
(pinks especially) will get very crusty and nasty in high percentages.
Weaker colorants can get exspensive as they require higher percentages.
Mixing colorants and stains in varying percentages will allow you to
custom design your colors. Don't forget, results will change with
temperature.
