Hi Klare: Shellac can be used on the interior. It takes a while to dry so
allow time. After I made a whole bunch of oil lamps, I saw that Axner carries
a lamp liner. It is a lacquer to be used in place of glaze on the inside. I
have not tried it but intend to in the future.Good Luck!!
