Chris, my scale dropped on the floor (!!) and the 'flag' became dented and
kept getting stuck. I removed the screws from the end piece and set it back
a bit, marking its footing with a permanent marker. I also taped a
toothpick horizontally onto the arm of the scale. Now I just put my
weighing container in place and make sure the toothpick points to '0' on
the end piece before weighing. Not really a problem. Hope this helps,
