overseas gallery

Dear group,
I received an invitation from a gallery in Bamberg, Germany to
exhibit in their space. I am a little nervous about this and wondered if
anyone else in the group is dealing with an overseas gallery or knows how
to handle money, shipping costs, legal agreements etc. They have asked for
wholesale information so I assume they are willing to buy.

TIA

We have in the past shipped work from Australia and Canada to be
exhibited here at the Pottery Workshop in Hong Kong and also shipped work
overseas to be exhibited. The problems dealing with the work are
shipping (some breakages and high costs) and clearing customs of that
particular country (a total pain!!). After the oversea artists' work has
been sold, we just send them a cashier's check in the amount of their
countries' currency. That saves them a lot of trouble from cashing a
check in Hong Kong dollars.

Hope this helps.
