Any words on the Axner Fireball Oxyprobe? Reduction firing, cone 10
in a propane fueled Olsen 16 updraft.

Also need to invest in a pyrometer. Any advice?

Thanks

The oxyprobe manufactured and sold by Axner's includes an "R" type
(plat./Platrhod.) thermocouple, so you won't need to invest in an
additional pyrometer. On the meter which comes with the probe you turn a
rotary switch from "atmosphere" to "temperature". Also includes a
protection tube for the probe and all parts but the sensor (which is
imported
from Australia) are American made.

>Dear Nils -

There are a number of good pyrometers on the market. Please take a look at
our "Tru-View" Pyrometer System which features multi-thermocouples (up to
five) and a thermocouple selector switch. This can be a goodsend when
trying to evenly fire a manual kiln with zone switches. You can get
information by calling us or looking at our web site (www.hotkilns.com)
Good Luck!
