Make sure you go out to the National Ceramics Museum at Sevres Porcelain
Factory. Great place. Take the metro to Port du Sevres and walk across
the river. It is right there. Taxile Doat worked there before joining
Adelaide Robineau in St. Louis for the Women's University back in 1915.
They have an incredible collection of historical pots and changing
contemporary shows. There is also the biggest Crystalline glazed pot in
the world (over 6') in the D'Orsay Museum in the Art Nouveau decorative
arts section. The Louvre of Antiques had great ceramics everything from
Palissy pieces, Deruta tin-galzed work, Picasso ceramics. Great things
to look at.

Hi Jean,
Park Andre Citroen is a wonderful place of inspiration: water stone and
fauna , arranged in a away you never saw before.......
The Picasso Museum ,has a few ceramic pieces, and the museum interiors are a
good example of what I call friendly architecture, worth every effort !!!!!!
In the Glass Pyramid, next to the Louvre post office, there are some
interesting contemporary ceramic pieces.
If I had to choose just one museum from all Paris has to offer,it would
probably be The Orangerie, where you can see Monet's huge canvases of water
lilies.
*THE* place to visit ,only one hour ride from Paris,is Giverny, where you
can see Monet's house and garden, spectacular place, that changes it's beauty
each season.Giverny is reached by train from Gare St.Lazare to Vernon, and a
short bus ride to the village.
Enjoy !!

And there is a (municipal?) museum at nearby St. Denis with lots and
lots of medieval pots on display, and it's on the metro system, too.
While there you can also visit the Church of St. Denis, the first
definitive gothic edifice. Sculpture your bag? You'll dig the
"gisants", i.e., tomb effigies inside the church. If you are really
into medieval pots, the crypts of Notre Dame also have some. Carolyn
