pugmills or how much pain do you enjoy

When finally they got it down to carpal tunnel syndrome almost 20 years
ago I read up as much as I could on it. Apparently 1. no matter hand size
men have larger carpal tunnels than women; 2. everybody's body is
different. Also men have much more upper body strength than women. In
other words: this is an area where men might learn more from other men,
and women from other women. As one of the latter: I fiund my adorable pug
mill a lifesaver. Leaving aside that it makes reclaiming clay a snap, and
that it permits me to utilize my time better, it also has been a blessing
for my wrists and for my NECK where a bone-spur protests bitterly whenever
I "abuse" whatever muscles are up there where one's collar is.(Between
neck and shoulder) Nothing stops one from giving a pugged piece of clay a
friendly whirl on the wedging board. Please everyone remember: in the good
old days (ha! ha!) people had apprentices who were 14-18 year old boys
(than which there is no one more energetic) whom did the wedging and other
scut work. Guess why? Because by the time one gets to be a "master" one
has worn one's body out....At least the joints and some ligaments.
